You don’t have to pay thousands of dollars for expensive cameras or studios to get the perfect shot. You just need to pay attention to some little tricks to make sure you get the perfect shot and edit it in juust the right way to have the perfect, professional looking photo. Pay attention to these 5 tips we gathered to edit your photos like a pro!
1- Choose the Right Shot
Getting and choosing the right shot is the first and most important step for getting the perfect photo. You may not think you can get the perfect shot with your phone’s camera but you are totally wrong. Smartphone cameras are getting better and better everyday. Play around with the camera settings a little bit to understand what your phone is able to do. Then make sure to adjust the lighting so you don’t spend hours trying to correct the lighting problems.
There are a lot of great iPhone gallery apps to help you clean the clutter later so make sure to take a lot of shots at first, in fact CleanUp can even help you choose the perfect shot among dozens of them!
2- Straighten That Pose Up!
Don’t rush and frame the shot correctly by paying attention to the background, lighting and your main object/subject. If by any chance you took a photo that looks perfect except that you didn’t frame it perfectly, use the straightening tool to correct any lopsided parts of your photo and then cut the unnecessary or distracting bits before you go on to editing.
3- Get the Right Apps
As we are sure you know, there are thousands of editing apps on the market right now with very different features. Don’t be afraid to use multiple apps for editing as they all have different aspects. Some of the most popular editing apps are VSCO, Facetune and Afterlight. But before these, make sure you get the right photo cleaner app because there is gonna be a lot of mess for sure! So get your CleanUp and editing apps ready and prepare for battle :)
4- Adjust to Perfection
Before rushing into applying tons of filters (which you shouldn’t do anyways) make sure that you adjust your photo. That means adjusting the color-balance, brightness, contrast and shadows to get it ready for the strawberry on top; filters of course. A filter will not look good on every photo, so try a bunch of them from different apps to get the perfect one.
5- Know When To Stop
Abort mission captain! Avoid using too many filters at once since that’d make your photo look fake instead of nice. We wouldn’t want that now, would we? We only want the perfect one, so when you have the photo you want, deny that chaos gene and stop where you are.
